A Web Site…

…Just Isn’t Enough Anymore.

There was a time when a sign out front was pretty much all you needed.  Then, some clever fella invented the telephone, and next thing you know you need a telephone number and a phone book listing.  Enough businesses with phones, and someone invents the Yellow Pages… Now you need a listing there too.  Then, you need a fax number, then an email address, then a web site.

Now, for millions of people, Yahoo, Facebook, Myspace, and YouTube pretty much are the web.  Every day, they ‘Like’ the pages of tens of millions of clubs, groups, hobbies, celebrities, special interests, games and… Businesses.

‘Like’, by the way, is Facebook for ‘Subscribe to’.

If you’ve had anything to do with the Internet for the past ten years, you might remember one of the biggest challenges of a strong web presence back then was finding the email addresses of people to subscribe to your updates.  Now they do it through Facebook, and they find each other for you… So long as you know how to communicate with them in Facebook fashion.

Social Media – as over-used and abused as the buzz-words are – is quite simply developing into one of the most potent, powerful, and cost effective means ever of building brand awareness and brand image and communicating with current and potential customers.  You need a media design team who understands it.

We first dipped our toes in the pool that would become ‘social media’ in 1995.  We’ve got a pretty good handle on it.
