Once upon a time, a website was nothing more than a collection of fairly complicated technical documents in a simple pseudo-programming language that – somehow – a web browser could translate into a page for your customers to see.  If you wanted anything about that site changed, someone had to dig into the code and make the changes “by hand”, like building a new sign out front every time you want to change the specials.

We called them “static” sites.  Once built, they stayed the way they were until someone with the appropriate technical skills edited or replaced them.

Now, a modern web site is a collection of even more complicated, even more technical documents in five or six scripting languages.  These scripting languages connect to and interact with a powerful database and a collection of graphics files and presentation format documents, and all of them together create a much more dynamic site.

This isn’t even a simple “web site” in the sense we used to build them. This is a fully fledged Content Management System or ‘CMS’.  You can make your site valuable, and we can help.
